Baltimore, MD, USA- based singer-songwriter Kennard returns to the spotlight with the release of his new original album Proceed 2 , out August 22, 2025. The result of two years of hard work, this opus is not just a collection of tracks: it is a personal story, a sincere work shaped by the artist's trials and emotions.

Kennard took the time to fine-tune each track, true to his philosophy: “Rome wasn’t built in a day; take your time. Music is an art, why rush it?”  This meticulous approach is felt throughout the album, which exudes depth and authenticity.

Old-school influences for heartfelt R&B

With Proceed 2 , Kennard asserts his attachment to soul and old-school R&B . The album tells true stories, fragments of life that resonate universally. It features the only collaboration with Jamonie Lee , a talented musician from Los Angeles, on the track “I Just Gotta Know” , a return to the roots of R&B where emotion and melody meet.

Between pain and rebirth

The album draws its strength from the artist's personal experiences: the death of his aunt four years ago, then that of his uncle last year. These intimate wounds are echoed in tracks like “Rain ,” where Kennard sets grief and memory to music, offering his listeners a cathartic and profound experience.
